Our History

Founded in 2021 by a passionate Dr. Ansbert Mutashobya, Abite Medical & Health Services Ltd. (previous known as Abite Medical Supplies) started its operations as an online medical tools store.

Starting as a small store, with no physical location, delivering medical equipment in streets of Dar es Salaam and later on other regions of Tanzania, the company quickly gained recognition for its innovative approach to use Email marketing and Google Ads to attract and retain existing customers.

The business was ceased in 2022 due to outside work responsilities of both Dr. Ansbert and his partner, Mr. Amana.

After deep discussions between the two partners, the business was opened once again in 2023, with a new partner (Alicia Filbert), as a blog offering free health articles and selling e-books.

In early 2024, the business was incorporated into a company. Current we offer services ranging from home healthcare, telemedicine, e-books, and mass education.

As a company, our vision is championing a holistic approach to wellness through digital health tools that empower individuals, specifically Africans, to live their healthiest lives.

We strive to redefine the home healthcare experience by leveraging technology to deliver personalized, proactive, and preventive care to all Tanzanians, and eventually to all parts of Africa.

This will be achieved through our mission which is to harness the power of technology to transform home healthcare, making it more efficient, accessible, and patient-centric. We have started this through our blog, Abite Afya, which offers health articles (free), eBooks and 1-on-1 medical consultations.

We believe in leveraging innovation to address the most pressing challenges facing the healthcare industry today, ultimately improving the quality of life for individuals around Tanzania and East Africa.
